What is Snowed In?

A short, lighthearted, relaxing Visual Novel about friendship, fun, and the joys (or dangers) of hot pot.

You (the player) barely made it to your friend Shiori’s house before the snowstorm reached its full intensity. Now the two of you are trapped inside, the weather canceling your original dinner plans. That doesn’t have to ruin the night, though. There’s plenty of fun to be had inside, and the two of you could even make your own meal. What could go wrong? (Uh~Oh!)

After playing this I feel like I know a little bit more about Shiori. It felt very familiar 😊. I have that kind of dreams sometimes, entering a room with a kind of thin air, usually associated with something ominous (I might be having some nostril problems at that time though, but that doesn't invalidate the analogy 😅). Talking about dreams like this... is something that I really like, but it rarely happens to me. That's why I appreciate being able to do it here, even if it's just with a pre-programmed Shiori 😌.

As for the translation thing. I happen to be literate in Italian, Spanish and Portuguese (and somehow French). If you like a pro translation of the game, just tell me (French will take more time, but it can be done 👍).

thanks shiori! I enjoyed the game :)

So Shiori confirmed easter eggs with the names, someone want to figure them all out?

This VN was great😎

Been awhile since ive read VNs but this was very comfy and chill. I did resonate a lil too much with the convo exchange with "Character arc" "slice of life anime", where I kinda started tearing up a lil. lol
But overall I really enjoyed this VN and thanks to u oshi and everyone else tht made it!

Any chance a downloadable version will be made available in the future? It would be nice to get this translated into other languages, and also make it available for play for when being online is not an option :0

this was really cute and comfy! i loved it!

I really enjoyed this Visual Novel. It was a fun, comfy start to my day.

I liked it and it felt nice and cozy most of the time, but I guess I expected there to be a bit or more dark stuff at some points like other visual novels so either way it was different for me

It was a really cute, funny, and comfy story.

I liked some of the creative responses to certain names I wanted to put. I want to play more and check out all the routes, even the secret one.

Thank you, Shiori, and all those who worked on it. You all did a wonderful job!!

It's a very fun VN!! I can't wait for more~

Very comfy story to chill and read.

I loved the little Shiori voice lines. My favorite has to be "trust me!"

Thank you for making this, Shiori and team!!

The only "issue" I found (although very very very small) is that in some scenes the text would overlap the buttons on the right side of the screen. It's just a minor thing!

Example:

A nice lighthearted visual novel~
The story is warming and chill, with joy and laughter in it!!!

The character art is great! And I love how it seems to be not so out of place with the background~

Music and sfx are also nice~

There seem also no coding bugs around, I didn't even notice that until I wrote this haha!

My suggestions for improvement would probably be focusing on how the font seems a little bit uncanny when they're transitioning in and how some word seems to stick to the other like glue (the word "off" for example), although maybe that's intentional~

The music and sound effects in some parts also feel out of place and too overwhelming sometimes, such as the snowstorm at the title screen and the infinite cat purr (which is nice ngl)~

Keep creating!

Also p.s (I know crediting your idol is cool, but credit yourself as well!)
I was suprised when the link sends me to Shiori account instead. But yeah, dedication I guess!

Nice, short game. Very concerning amount of spice, fun friendship between Shiori and Anon- I like it.

will there be a downloadable version of the game? I want to translate it into Russian

A Visual Novella, by Shiori Novella!! This looks absolutely lovely~ Thank you so much for everyone's hard work!

12/10

Did a first run, everything works well and smooth, the music is chill and charming, the art is just lovely and the little voice parts are adorable. A job very well done team, looking forward to replay it and more even.
It is short, but you can see well the dedication and the Shiori print all over the script.

A VISUAL NOVEL YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

short but really enjoyable! The art and music in the game are so great!!!

This was so cute and comfy! And I don't think I've ever done a few of these things in a VN before so it was unique too! Shiori's cute voice made it extra special. ♡
(Also a smattering of possible Shiori lore made it extra interesting.)

Ahhh!! I love it so muchhh~ thank you Shiori and to those involved! 👁️‍🗨️🖤
